Nuevo Garcia Foods Acquires Texas Tamale Company

Mission Consumer Capital ("Mission") today announced that its portfolio company, Nuevo Garcia Foods, LLC ("Garcia"), has completed the acquisition of Texas Tamale Company ("Texas Tamale"), a Houston-based maker of handmade tamales and Mexican specialty foods.

The deal pairs Texas Tamale's premium, retail tamale business with Garcia's six-decade manufacturing platform and its iconic Andy Garcia brand. Garcia, based in San Antonio, produces value-added proteins such as barbacoa and chorizo alongside tamales and other Hispanic staples sold across grocery and foodservice channels.
